All your Facebook friends will not appear, however, because macOS Contacts only syncs Facebook contacts who have useful contact information like an email address or mailing address. Once you have Facebook and LinkedIn syncing configured in macOS Contacts, you should see the same Facebook and LinkedIn contacts in Bus圜ontacts. Therefore, in order to sync Bus圜ontacts with Facebook or LinkedIn, you must also configure macOS Contacts to sync with Facebook or LinkedIn by selecting Apple () > System Preferences > Internet Accounts, clicking Facebook or LinkedIn and enabling Contacts syncing. I also use Bus圜ontacts and have seen the following text in their help files regarding contact groups: ![]() Instead of keep focusing on Gmail I decided to create the group in Apple Contacts and this one is showing up correctly in Airmail, also with the correct number of contacts. I think I found an alternative that seems to be working now: Update after one day of writing this post: After creating the group in Google Contacts it also doesn't show when you type the name in the To: field from a new message. I also tried to do it with Gmail directly through Chrome but must say that there it's also very badly implemented. Maybe they could work together with other contact apps like Bus圜ontacts and others to make this work better. Maybe the difficulty for Airmail lies in it's apparently very basic Contacs app. Even the Apple Mail app makes it possible but needs the Apple Contacts app to make it work. I will probably have to use another mail app whenever I want to send a message to a group of people. What is going on here? Why is this contact group thing such a huge hassle in Airmail? How can this be such a complicated thing to implement after more than 30 years of email software history? And when it does, it doesn't have all the contacts in it. I have to sync more than once to make it finally show up. ![]() After syncing the group that I created doesn't show in Airmail when I type its name in a new message. This syncing takes many minutes for about 1800 contacts and 30 groups. Then I use "sync contacts" in the Airmail Preferences also as instructed by them. My account and all addresses are from Gmail and I created the group through Google Contacts as instructed by the Airmail "manual". It's become quite frustrating by now.Īnyone else here uses contact groups for sending messages with Airmail (4) on macOS? ![]() I've also been in contact with their support (I have the Pro version) and receiving constant and quite fast responses but nothing that they suggest works. For a few days I've been trying to use a contacts group in Airmail 4 on macOS but it simply doesn't work. ![]()
